Banana Cake With Frosting Cream Cheese Can Make You Go Bananas!

by Maggie on November 26, 2009

What do you do with bananas, which are over-ripe? Throw them out? Stop on your tracks as you can make delicious banana cakes with frosting cream cheese, which would have your friends and family go bananas!

Simple to make with a quick turnaround time banana cake with frosting cream cheese remains an all time favorite for many.

While you may know a thing or two about the recipe to make banana cakes, do you know how to make some memorable frosting cream cheese? Follow this user-friendly recipe:

You would need 2 cups confectioners’ sugar, 2 tbsps butter, 6-oz cream cheese, 3 tbsp milk and 1 tsp vanilla flavoring.

Beat together the butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl, to which add confectioners’ sugar and mix well. Add milk to thin down the mixture so that spreading is consistent. Stir in vanilla and mix well. Yu are now ready to frost your banana cake.

For the banana cake the following ingredients are needed:

1/2 cup shortening,

1 1/2 cups sugar,

2 large eggs,

2 cups flour,

1/4 tsp baking powder,

3/4 tsp baking soda,

1 tsp salt,

1/4-cup buttermilk,

4 ripe bananas and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.

You start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Take a large mixing bowl, blend cream shortening and sugar. Then, take the 2 eggs to mixture and keep on mixing mix until the blend has a creamy texture.  The ripe bananas should be mashed using a fork and then added to the mixture.

Take the ¼ cup of buttermilk and add it to the mixture and mix well. The mixture of flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt should then be sifted and added to the creamy mixture, beating well after each addition.

Stir in chopped walnuts. Take a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan and grease and lightly flour it.

Your baking dish is ready and you can now pour in the batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Test whether the bake is right by inserting a toothpick and check whether it comes out clean.

Finally, your banana cake with frosting cream cheese is ready to be served.

Thanks. Do I study cooking? No, however, I cook EVERYTHING I eat and my family eats from scratch, so to speak. In my shopping trolley, I never have any store bought coookies, cakes, sauces, etc etc. I was taught how to cook by my Grandad who was a master baker plus my Grannie, who taught me how to make pickles, jams, pastry etc etc. they also had a huge garden and grew all veggies and fruit and bred there own meat, had chickens etc.

I have carried this on in my own life, and only wish to pass on all my knowledge, as quite honestly, to make your own from scratch not only saves money, but it keeps you healthy!

Please come back soon, as I have much more to pass on.

Hi. this is kind of an “unconventional” question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you’ve got it? I also have a blog and am really looking to alter around the theme, however am scared to death to mess with it for fear of the search engines punishing me. I am very new to all of this …so i am just not positive exactly how to try to to it all yet. I’ll just keep working on it one day at a time.

I was reading this article and find it very informative. I admired the writer’s effort as he beautifully selects the most appropriate words for his post. The choice of his words has made this article unique and interesting. While reading this article I was feeling that I can completely understand the theme of this article and writer has written exclusively for me or for my school of thought.

facebook chips March 5, 2010 at 6:52 am

jeez some of the opinions individuals write are a bit spacey, in some cases i think about if they actually read the subject material and items before posting or if perhaps they pretty much read the title of the blog post and come up with the first idea that one thinks of. anyhow, it is pleasing to read through clever commentary every now and then compared to the same, old blog vomit which i invariably notice on the net

Kudos for creating such a informative weblog. Your weblog was not just informative but also very inventive too. There normally are only few people who can create technical articles that creatively. A lot of people search for articles about this topic. We ourselves went over many websites to build up on knowhow with respect to this.Looking to many more from your site !!
