As you know we discuss many things in this blog hence the byline “Discussions and Podcasts on everyday living”
Today I would like to talk about “Spirituality” –
I have a dearth of emails and contacts from people asking when I would do a post about “Alternatives” once they find out that I am qualified to talk, write and discuss such issues as well as many other things.
Before I start getting into the Deep and Meaningful about this (Spirituality) I thought we should define what it is first so we are all on the same page!
Now, if you think it is something different to what I write here, as everyone defines Spirituality differently, thus ultimately it has a different meaning in each and everyone’s life – post a comment so that we can start up a great discussion – thus each one of us can learn and decipher and take on board or dismiss others opinions – Now that would be interesting…as I think we could all learn from each other and ultimately become greater Spiritual beings. (Note: no hurtful, threatening or defamatory comments will be published)
In my opinion – On a fundamental level we can define Spirituality as anything and everything that deals with matters of our Soul (Spirit).
Every one of us has an aspect of ourselves that is authentic and invisible. This invisible (soul) part of us is the very essence of our lives and spirituality is about being connected with this spiritual part whilst being in the physical world – i.e. “A spiritual Being” having an Earthly Experience”
Many people define spirituality by religion, which is almost exclusively based on conforming to someone else’s rules, i.e. different religious denominations, which give an outward experience. This is NOT Spirituality which is not so much about external observations but more about inner experiences.
Spirituality is a deeply personal thing and something that only you can define, since these inner experiences are often very hard to put into words.
Do we have spiritual experiences all the time? Yes, but it is not just about recognizing these, it is also about seeking these in order to develop a greater sensitivity to ones “Spiritual life”. One must grow that tiny flame that is in each and every one of us to become more of a force in our everyday life; once this is done we can then start to work with the “Laws” that govern Life and the physical world.
An invisible Source is emanated from everything in our physical world with spirituality connecting you very powerfully with the divine force that is present within our universe. One transforming truth about spirituality is that solutions to our external conditions lie inside, meaning we are the “Constant” everything else is the “Variable”. More often it is seen the other way around where we try to change our physical circumstances by “Altering our Physical World” whereas when you connect with “The Divine within” your world will be uplifted and changed in a very powerful way.
Most religion is filled with Rules, Superstition, Dogma and more Rules with stories based on someone else’s beliefs and external experiences rather than personal experiences of God within.
The most powerful way to define spirituality for you is to nurture the divine flame that resides deep within you. An understanding of your “Divine Flame” within you will enrich your life and give you a greater sense of meaning and purpose in life.
Spirituality is that Silent Voice deep within, your constant companion on your life’s journey, your own personal connection to the higher intelligence that is all around us, within us, and present in all life.
Love and Light
P.S. Spirituality For the New Age is fascinating reading, so thought provoking, plus “New Revelation” is a FREEBIE that comes with it will be totally gob smacking!
