In the Northern Hemisphere it is turning cold and Winter is creeping up on everyone.

It is a time where where money is tight, and I know for a fact many are worried sick about how to keep the home warm without blowing the budget on heating costs.

Interesting Statistics

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the total consumption of energy and production of energy has increased in recent decades. People are working harder, not smarter, to heat their homes in the winter and cool them in the summer. With this come increases in expenditures by single and multiple family home owners.

In the New England region of USA for example, heating use or the need for heat continues to rise as global temperatures produce colder and longer winters, and hotter summers. What that means is you will have to work harder to heat your home for longer times.

What I have for you today is  a great book The Common Sense Guide To Heating Your Home where you’ll learn about some practical, everyday tips you can take advantage of to save on your heating costs each and every year.

You will find with time the more tips you implement, the better able you are to heat your home on a budget.

This tips in this book can be applied to any home in any part of the world.

Winter is creeping upon us

What would it mean to you and your family if you could reduce your heat bills, what could you do with the extra money?

Maybe your not making ends meet now, imagine how it will be in winter, when there is snow lying inches deep outside.  You and your family MUST stay warm.

In the Common Sense Guide to Heating Your Home there are so many tips – the book is dedicated to any and all home owners interested in learning what they can do to improve the heat efficiency of their home – without spending thousands of dollars.

You don’t have to hire a professional to winter proof your home, though you may want to hire a professional inspector at some point to assess what areas of your home need improvement. (For example, you may want to hire someone to check your furnace to make sure it is working efficiently).

While many consumers live in modern homes containing energy-efficient appliances, many others live in older homes. These homes are prone to problems including drafty windows and inefficient heating devices.

Both my daughter and I read this book and followed each tip and winter proofed our homes with amazing results!  Her bill went down by a drastic $250 for the quarter and mine by $215.25 for the quarter!

Also one thing we realised is that by “Winter Proofing” our homes with these tips, it also means that our summer cooling bills will be down, as the heat will not be able to get into our homes as much.  WOW!

So, what are you going to do to keep those costs down, while having a cosy, warm and toasty home?

An interesting discussion may be worth comment. I think that you should write more with this subject, this might not be a taboo topic but generally individuals are not enough to talk upon such topics. To another. Regards

This book is great! It really helped my bill go down on heating up on those raining days. It’s going to be especially helpful when Winter is coming. Thanks for suggesting this book, without you, I would’ve really spent a lot on heating bills.
