Juicing in my Breville BJE820XL Juice Fountain Duo Dual Disc Juicer

Every morning I juice fresh veggies and fruit and always use organic if available.

The reason for this is to boost my immune system in order to stop a regrowth of a Rare Peritoneal Liposarcoma cancer ( I am now showing No Evidence of Disease) READ ABOUT MY JOURNEY HERE

Please make sure before juicing the recipe below that you have only the freshest of ingredients, organic if possible and that you SCRUB each one and rinse in fresh clean water.

I consume this juice 3 times a day. EVERYDAY. The amounts I will give, should give enough juice for this if you have a good quality juicer.

Recipe:

6 x stalks of celery including the celery tops
1 x large beet or 2 medium sized
4 x large purple carrots
4 x large orange carrots
(If you cannot get purple carrots then use 8 large orange carrots)
1 x large green apple (pips included)
1 x large lemon (skin and pip included)
2 inch piece fresh ginger root

Take 1/3 of the juice and add 1 heaped teaspoon of organic freeze dried wheatgrass and a dribble of Hemp oil or olive oil  and consume. The reason for the oil is that some of the vitamins and minerals and trace elements in the fruit and veggie juice can only be absorbed if you consume it with oil. The rest of the juice decant into a clean jar with a screw top lid and put into your refrigerator. Drink 1/2 in the afternoon and the rest with your evening meal. Oh and please DO NOT strain the juice.

Benefits of Juicing – Nutrients in Fruit and Veg (Best Foods Fight Cancer)

Celery:  This crunchy vegetable is full of health giving nutrients to name a few –  vitamin K and molybdenum,  folate, potassium, dietary fiber, manganese, and pantothenic acid. Also a good source of vitamin B2, copper, vitamin C, vitamin B6, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and vitamin A (side note, if you feel like a snack during the day a stick of celery with a smear of peanut or almond butter is yum!)

Beets: Great for the heart and also as a blood cleanser, they are rich in vitamin A, C, B complex, potassium, iron, magnesium and copper. Do not worry if your poo goes purple or your wee looks a little pink.  This is because of the beetroot.  Nothing to worry about.

Carrots: Yes, it is all true carrots are amazing! vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, E and K, folate, niacin and pantothenic acid. There are minerals like potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and selenium packed in it. Two  of the most important components found in carrots is beta-carotene and Falcarinol which is said to help fight cancer.

Apple: The old adage an apple a day keeps the Doctor away could be true with vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, C, E and K, folate, niacin, zinc, copper, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, calcium, sodium and manganese.

Lemon: So full of nutrients, including vitamin C, beta carotene, vitamin A, folate, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium. The rind of the lemon contains essential oils and many of the nutrients present in the flesh.

Ginger Root: 6-gingerol, a substance that is found in large amounts in raw ginger and is said to help prevent cancer.  However, ginger is great in many other ways as it aids digestion and inflammation and much more.  Ginger is a must in any juicing program.

The juicer I have is above average.  90% of the fruit and veggies get juiced!  This makes me excited, because it means my fresh fruits and veggies go further.

The one I have in my kitchen is the one below. You do not have to chop anything up just scrub and pop in the juicer because the shute where you put everything is large enough to do this. Makes it so much easier and faster, juicing is such a pleasant thing to do with this juicer!

Cleaning is a breeze.  Tip – the waste collector, pop a freezer bag in it to collect the waste, then throw it all away or in your composter, saves on washing up!

Don’t wait any longer, YOU deserve better health. As a Cancer Survivor I know the importance of good health, and daily juicing is part of it. (I will have more juice recipes soon)
